Koraline's 1969 Charger R/T

Woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep. Decided to work on something for myself rather than commissions and trades (I've been having a real problem with art block when it comes to poses... >_<)

For those of you who haven't seen the other vehicles I've done so far the story is I decided I'd do all my characters and their cars. I'm doing the cars first and the characters later.

So here we have the side profile of Koraline's 1969 Dodge Charger R/T packing a blown 426 Hemi.

Unlike Korevus' car, Koraline's Charger is loud and aggressive, exactly the opposite of herself. If you don't hear her coming you'll definitely see her with her metallic plum crazy and white paint job, racing decals and flame spitting side exhaust, factory spoiler, hood pins, custom wheels and removable bull bar (not pictured) she looks mean just at a stand still.

Koraline loves her Charger and modeled it specifically to be an attention getter. While Korevus wanted his Challenger to be understated Koraline wanted her Charger to be the exact opposite. As someone who is shy and worrisome she felt a heavy hitter of a car would give her the confidence boost she needed.

Chrysalis Camaro

Took a break from studying and decided to vector the design for my Camaro instead of working on Koraline's Charger.

I can't wait til I finish building this baby.

Korevus' 1970 Challenger R/T (Clean and Dirty)

It's amazing what you get done during lectures and in between studying.

Decided I'd do all the cars first and add the characters in later because I'm having so much fun throwing all my ideas for the cars onto the canvas after all the years in my head.

So here we have the side profile of Korevus' 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T packing a blown 426 Hemi.

You'd never know what this car was really capable of if you rolled up on it, you'd think it was a stock 70' R/T packing a stock 426 Hemi and that's just what Korevus wants. But underneath the beautiful contours of the R/T hood lies the modified beast of an engine ready to melt the tires on take off.

I did a clean and a dirty version because in most of the stories I've come up with (which naturally I haven't put to paper. UGH!) the Challenger is constantly dirty due to Korevus' love for leaving the pavement. But his baby always gets a bath when she gets back to her bay at the Pack Mentality Garage.

Leader of The Pack Custom Chopper

I've been so busy with writing reports and studying for my finals in 2 weeks that I have hardly had any time to have a crack at my commissions or trades.

But I caught a really bad cold the past couple days and just needed to do something to relax my head.

So I did a total over haul of the Leader of the Pack Chopper (http://thelastnoteoffreedom.blogspot.ca/2012/08/vector-designs.html)

And I actually finished it this time ^_^

The old school in me really really didn't want to run a front fender.

Bonus points if you know what car it was based on.

Skeletal-K9 Battle-Axe

Here's a Deviant Art link since Blogger seems to not want to show it at the proper size. http://skeletal-k9.deviantart.com/#/d5kj6vj

Finally got around to finishing these. The many different schemes of Korevus and Koraline's Skeletal-K9 Battle-Axe.

Inspired by everything Glam Rock. and I'm a sucker for Zebra patterns.

1965 Polara: As Finished As It's Going To Get

Don't have anymore time to work on it, and I honestly don't want to anymore lol so this is as finished as it's going to get. not my best but I think it still looks awesome.
Just plain sick of working on it though.

Korevus and Koraline's Cars

Decided to make some full versions of Korevus and Koraline's cars instead of just the split in half versions from the pack mentality poster.

It was fairly easy, just cutting and using the mirror tool basically.

1. Korevus' 1970 Challenger

2. Koraline's 1969 Charger

Vector Designs

These are a bunch of designs I've been working on for the past week or so.
They're all still incomplete but the designs themselves are great or at least I think so.
Most of these designs have been sitting around my computer or in my head for months and even years, but since my DMA college course assignment required me to put together a book of 9 designs I decided to get them all down and done.

1. Custom 1965 Dodge Polara
Some of the noticeable changes to this uncolored version are the aftermarket wheels, it's been lowered, and has a custom made trim.
(this vector actually underwent a total of 8 changes from start to finish because I kept finding things I didn't like. here's the very first one.)

2. The Leader Of The Pack (or Korevus) Custom Chopper
I designed a chopper a long time ago for my character Korevus but I have no idea where the hell the sketch went or what it really looked like, so I designed a new one.

 3. The Twin-V's
Originally I designed this guitar in my head and called it "The Device" then I changed the name to Twin-Vs.
the original purpose of the device was as follows.
-The Device-
Korevus designed a guitar for one of his shows called the Twin-V's. This guitar became the prototype device that would split Korevus and Koraline into two separate entities. This proved to be strenuous on there collective mind. Through prolonged exposure to the device however Korevus found he was able to manifest Koraline using his own body (i.e he would morph into Koraline) so they wouldn't always have to exist separately and ware each other out.

 4. Korevus' Custom Stack
I figured out  that I was one design short of enough to finish my college project.  I didn't have enough time to do a whole car, and I couldn't think of a new guitar under the pressure so I decided to design something that's been sitting in my head for months but I never though was worth putting to paper just because of it's simplicity. But I needed a page filler so I finally put together Korevus' home made amp stack. 1/3 Marshall, 1/3 Fender and 1/3 Mesa Boogie it's one versatile screamer.

Converse Stuff for DMA423

Some things I've had to create so far for a group project in DMA423.  We're creating a new section of Converse and in a way re-branding it.

I created a new logo and vectors of 3 shoes, All Stars, Oxs and Slips

Pack Mentality Mopars

Part of a series for a personal project I'm working on in my spare time.
I saved a bunch of copies through out the process should I decide to go back and make some changes but here are a few development stages and the finished piece.

(Don't forget you can Right Click and Open to Full View)

The first time I've done Korevus and Koraline side by side so you can see how they are the same but how they are different.

For those that don't know Korevus can turn into Koraline or they can exist apart from each other, while they can share the same body they have 2 separate minds allowing them to split into 2 separate entities or for Koraline to morph Korevus' body into her own.

I picked the cars based on my them being two of my favorites and what I have Korevus and Koraline respectively drive in the project I'm working on about them and the rest of Pack Mentality.

DMA423 Re-Branding: Take Three

Part 3 of my Vans re-branding for DMA423.

I ran into a problem when putting together the collections bellow, due to the fact that I mistakenly used to large of a texture file for the snake skin and rather than shrinking it in Photoshop first I just shrank it in Illustrator.  Rest assured I'll never make that mistake again as it made it impossible to save files with more than one logo on the screen.

So with the Profs. permission I rendered high quality PNG's rather than a PDF.
(Thanks Gordon)

DMA423 Re-Branding Sketches: Take Two

Picked the logo that was best from the first set of sketches and tried to improve it.
-Cleaned up the lines
-Added patterns to the letters
-Some minor edits
-A bit of colour testing

I'm not totally sold on the colour scheme I chose for the sketch, I just wanted to give myself some direction to go in for the final vector.

DMA 455 Final with Hype Framework

The Original Idea was to create some sort of lighting storm type effect where the bolts would flash to the music and fade out as new ones came in.

Step 1:

Gathered and Created Assets
(Lightening Bolt asset I created and tested in the Shape Mapping Project)

Step 2:

Modifying the frequency code and colour pallet

var color:ColorPool = new ColorPool(
    0x3a227a, 0x658697, 0xa45862, 0xffdfe6, 0xfffbff, 0xba94cd
);

    var yTracker:FunctionTracker = new FunctionTracker(clip, "y", sa.getFrequencyRange, [i*4, i*4+4, -20, 1000]);
    yTracker.start();

Step 3:

Testing

Step 4:
Deploy
http://skeletal-k9.com/DMA455/Final/Thunder%20Struck%20Sound%20Analyzer.html

Possible Final Landing Page:

Audio Data (8 Circles) With Hype Framework

Started with the Hype Framework Sound Analyzer

Created some assets

Photoshopped a transparency

Final Result
http://skeletal-k9.com/DMA455/8 Shape Audio Data/01_soundAnalyzerV2.html

Cheetah Label With Hype Framework

Started by messing with the colour pallet and using
<0x5C3E28, 0xBB8A52, 0x97613A, 0xC5A57A, 0xD0B99D, 0x111111>

Then modified the shapes from circles to these weird things

Found an Image to use in creating and interesting pattern

Ended up with this

Looked for an image to layer over top of the pattern

Brought both into Photoshop and ended up with this
